Force was appointed to provide management and construction delivery services for National Grid’s Power Flow Control Smartwires installation at Saltholme Substation. The aim was to support the addition of new power infrastructure that enhances the grid’s capability to manage power flow and network efficiency.
Force delivered full construction management and build services for the Power Flow Control Smartwires project on behalf of National Grid. Our team coordinated site activities, supervised civil and installation works, and ensured that all elements of the new power infrastructure were delivered to specification. Force integrated our civil engineering capability with specialist technical works to support the successful completion of the project at Saltholme Substation.
Our role on this project highlights our capacity to support large scale infrastructure delivery for major clients in the energy sector. We aligned our project management, civils delivery and on-site coordination to meet National Grid’s requirements. Throughout the works, Force maintained clear communication, quality control and adherence to safety standards, enabling a smooth delivery process on a technically demanding site.
