South West Substation

FCS completed the civils and fencing packages at Mannington substation in Wimborne. As part of FCS’ delivery remit, FCS installed approximately 1165m of reinforced concrete sill (800 x 900mm) complete with bolt down palisade fencing installed atop. As part of the works FCS also constructed a new airlock complete with 2 x combined double leaf gates and pedestrian panic gates. FCS also installed all associated RC bases, ducting and draw pits for the project. In addition to the installation of GRP cable tray around the full perimeter. Total value circa £6 million.
