Trust matters on every project, especially across civils, infrastructure, high-security perimeter and HVM works.

Clients need a contractor who can listen properly, understand the specification and support the project from start to finish. They need a team that can plan the work, manage the detail and deliver safely on site.

For Force, trust is built through the way each project is handled. From the first conversation through to completion, the team works to understand the client’s requirements, bring in the right in-house specialists and deliver work to the standard expected. Here are five reasons clients continue to trust Force.

We Put Safety First

Safety has to sit at the centre of every project. On complex and live sites, clients need to know that the contractor they choose will work carefully, follow the right processes and protect both people and programme.

Force approaches each project with safety built into the planning and delivery. That means understanding the site risks, preparing properly and making sure the team on site knows what is expected before work begins.

Morrisons Utility Connections highlighted this clearly, saying Force delivered their works “without accident or incident.” For clients, that kind of feedback gives confidence that safety is not only talked about, but carried through the full project.

We Provide Competent Teams on Site

A project is only as strong as the people delivering it. Clients need site teams who understand the work, respect the environment they are working in and know how to operate around sensitive or high-pressure areas.

Force works across projects where skill, preparation and site awareness matter. From specialist civils to high-security perimeter and HVM works, clients need people who can get on with the job properly and represent the project well.

EDF Energy described Force employees as “security vetted, competent and hardworking.” That feedback shows the value of having the right people on site, especially where security, safety and standards all matter.

We Understand the Specification and Deliver to the Standard Expected

Clients trust contractors who take time to understand the specification before work begins. It is not enough to simply turn up and install. The team must understand what the client needs, what the site demands and what standard the work must meet.

Force supports this through a team of in-house specialists who can help from planning through to completion. This helps keep the project joined up, with the right people involved at the right time.

National Grid praised Force for delivering construction work to an “excellent standard” and working in line with the “requirements and expectations National Grid demand.” The same testimonial also highlighted Force’s knowledge, experience and ability to help tackle project challenges.

That is exactly where trust is built. Clients need to know their specification has been understood, not guessed.

We Build Relationships Clients Want to Continue

One of the clearest signs of trust is when a client wants to work with you again. Repeat confidence shows that the full project experience has worked, from communication and planning through to site conduct and final delivery.

Force aims to be reliable, responsive and easy to work with. Clients need a contractor who can take ownership, keep things moving and work well with the wider team.

Landmark Power Holdings said they “look forward to working with you on future projects.” That kind of feedback shows that the relationship has been earned through the way the project was handled, not just the finished result.

We Listen and Support the Client from Start to Finish

Every project comes with its own pressures. Some sites have tight access. Some have live operations. Some need specialist civils, high-security fencing, gates or HVM works delivered around complex conditions.

That is why Force starts by listening to the client’s requirements. By understanding what matters most, the team can shape the right plan, involve the right in-house specialists and support the project properly from start to finish.

Mercury described Force’s approach as “diligence and great partnership working.” That feedback reflects the value of working with a contractor that listens, understands what is required and stays involved until the job is complete.

Trusted Where It Matters

Trust is built through action. It comes from safe delivery, competent people, clear communication, high standards and a proper understanding of what the client needs.

The feedback from Force clients shows a clear pattern. Clients trust Force because the work is planned properly, the specification is understood and the right team is involved from start to finish.

For projects where safety, quality and delivery matter, Force gives clients a team they can rely on.

Have an upcoming civils, infrastructure, high-security perimeter or HVM project? Speak to Force.

When you are appointing a high-security civils contractor, price is only one part of the decision. What matters more is whether the contractor can plan properly, work safely, deal with site constraints and deliver the job without creating problems for the rest of the programme.

High-security projects often come with tight tolerances, strict site rules, live environments and no room for error. Whether the work involves crash-rated fencing, HVM, reinforced concrete bases, ducting, draw pits or full perimeter infrastructure, you need a contractor who understands more than just the build.

You need one who understands the risk. Here is what you should look out for when choosing a High-Security Civils Contractor:

Experience in High-Security Environments

Not every civils contractor is right for high-security work. A contractor may have general groundworks experience, but that does not always mean they are suited to work on sensitive or security-led sites. High-security environments demand a different level of control, planning and awareness.

You should be looking for a team that has worked on projects where access is restricted, sequencing is critical and every part of the job needs to be delivered with care. That includes understanding how civils packages tie into fencing, gates, barriers, electrical systems and other follow-on trades.

The more familiar a contractor is with these environments, the more likely they are to spot risks early and keep the project moving.

Strong Planning Before Work Starts

Early planning sets the tone for the whole project. It shows whether a contractor understands the environment, the level of coordination required and the standards the job demands. On high-security projects, that matters from the outset.

These schemes often involve tighter controls, more stakeholders and less room for error than standard civils work. Without a clear approach from the beginning, issues can build quickly and affect programme, quality and confidence across the wider project.

A strong contractor will show that they have thought beyond the immediate scope and considered how the works need to be delivered within the wider demands of the site. That level of preparation gives clients confidence that the contractor is not just ready to carry out the work, they are ready to manage it properly.

“The professionalism, expertise, and commitment demonstrated by Force’s work has been exemplary. From planning to execution, Force have consistently delivered high-quality results, often exceeding expectations. Force’s meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety standards were particularly impressive. The success of these projects is a testament to your team’s ability to tackle complex tasks with precision and care.” – Project Manager – Nuclear Sector

A Clear Focus on Safety

A capable high-security civils contractor should treat safety as a core part of delivery, not a separate exercise running alongside it.

On this type of work, safety is closely tied to control. It shapes how a site is managed, how decisions are made and how work is carried out under pressure. In more sensitive or restricted environments, that becomes even more important.

A strong contractor will show that safety is built into their way of working from the start. Not just in documentation, but in supervision, communication, planning and day-to-day site standards.

Quality That Matches the Specification

In high-security work, expectations are usually higher and tolerances are often tighter. There is less room for inconsistency, and the impact of poor quality can reach far beyond one element of the package. What may seem like a small issue at one stage can create larger problems later.

A strong contractor will recognise that quality needs to be consistent, controlled and aligned with the demands of the project from the outset. That means taking the specification seriously, understanding what sits behind it and delivering work that supports what comes next.

A Contractor Who Understands the Full Package

On complex projects, individual elements do not sit in isolation. They form part of a wider package that needs to come together in the right way, at the right time and to the right standard. That calls for a contractor who can see the bigger picture, not just their immediate responsibilities.

This matters even more in high-security environments, where different disciplines often need to align closely and where poor coordination in one area can affect progress elsewhere.

A strong contractor will understand how their role fits within the wider delivery model and plan with that in mind. That broader view supports smoother coordination, fewer surprises and a more reliable outcome for the client.

Speak to the Right Contractor

Choosing the right high-security civils contractor is about more than getting the works done. It is about bringing the right level of control, coordination and understanding to a project where standards are high and mistakes can carry real consequences.

If you want to speak to a contractor that understands what high-security projects demand, and how to deliver them properly, come and see Brett and James at The Security Event at NEC Birmingham from April 28 to 30. You’ll find us on Stand 5/C134.

Force Contracting is proud to build on our relationship with the Doncaster Knights as Executive Box holders and kit sponsors for the 2025/26 season.

Our partnership with the club has grown over time. What started with hospitality support has now moved into a stronger collaboration both on and off the field. We now host guests from Executive Box 8 at Castle Park, a space our team recently refurbished. The box gives us a place to bring people together. Clients. Colleagues. Friends of the business.

Supporting the Club On and Off the Pitch

Our support also extends to sponsorship. You will see the Force logo on the Doncaster Knights playing shorts for both home and away fixtures during the 2025/26 season.

Our branding also appears:

Pitch-side around the stadium

In match photography and club media

Across social channels and broadcast coverage

These placements help raise awareness of Force while supporting the club’s continued progress.

Built on Shared Values

At Force, we value teamwork, preparation, and accountability. The same qualities you see in rugby every weekend. Ben Layden, Managing Director at Force Contracting, said:

“Rugby is built on teamwork and discipline, which are values we recognise in our own work. Bringing the right people together and giving them the tools to perform is central to how we operate. We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Doncaster Knights and look forward to continuing our support of the club.”

We look forward to another exciting season working alongside the Doncaster Knights and welcoming guests to Castle Park.

When it comes to protecting your business, security should never be piecemeal. Real protection comes from a fully integrated approach, where every element of your site works together, from the ground below the fence line to the access systems controlling who comes and goes.

The image above represents exactly how we approach site security: layered, practical, and engineered around real-world risks. Below is a breakdown of everything we deliver to help secure commercial, industrial, utilities, and high-risk sites.

Perimeter Fencing: Your First Line of Defence

A secure site starts at the perimeter. We design and install fencing systems that are built to deter, delay, and detect intrusion — without compromising visibility or operational flow.

Our fencing solutions include:

Mesh fencing for anti-cut and anti-climb protection while maintaining clear sightlines for CCTV and patrols

Palisade fencing for robust, long-term perimeter security, available in standard or crash-tested specifications

Power fencing, integrating electrified and alarmed systems with existing fencing for enhanced deterrence

Barbed wire and razor coil toppings to further prevent climbing and forced access

Anti-burrow protection, installed below ground to stop unauthorised access beneath fencing lines

Every system is specified to suit your site’s risk profile, compliance needs, and operational requirements.

Controlled Vehicle Access & Gates

Uncontrolled vehicle access is one of the biggest vulnerabilities on any site. We deliver a wide range of vehicle access solutions that balance security, speed, and reliability.

Vehicle access systems include:

Cantilevered sliding gates, ideal for perimeter or internal zoning, with options up to full crash-rated specifications

Swing gates, designed to suit different site layouts, materials, and security levels

Trackless bi-folding speed gates, where rapid operation and minimal maintenance are critical

Rising arm barriers, suitable for traffic management through to high-security integration with bollards or blockers

All gate systems can be integrated with access control, CCTV, and monitoring systems to create a fully connected solution.

Pedestrian Access & People Management

Managing pedestrian movement is just as important as securing vehicles. Our pedestrian access solutions ensure safe, compliant, and controlled entry without creating bottlenecks.

Pedestrian security options include:

Pedestrian and cycle gates, DDA-compliant and designed for ease of use

Pedestrian turnstiles, enabling controlled access for staff, visitors, and contractors

Full access control integration, including cards, fobs, biometrics, ANPR, and remote systems

These systems allow you to manage access permissions precisely while maintaining a professional and welcoming site environment.

Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM)

For sites requiring higher levels of protection, hostile vehicle mitigation plays a critical role. We supply and install solutions that are engineered to stop vehicle-based threats.

HVM solutions include:

Bollards, available in shallow or full-depth installations and up to fully crash-tested ratings

Road blockers, designed to control vehicle movement and provide physical stopping power

Integrated HVM planters and street furniture, combining security with visual appeal where aesthetics matter

These systems can be deployed discreetly or overtly, depending on the risk level and site requirements.

Surveillance, Infrastructure & Supporting Security Systems

Security systems only perform as well as the infrastructure supporting them. We deliver all associated groundworks and installations required to make systems reliable and future-proof.

Supporting works include:

Camera towers and marshal towers

Kiosk and equipment bases

Ducting, draw pits, drainage, and excavation works

Full access control and system integration

When you read through the feedback we get from clients across energy, civils, utilities, and data centre work, you start to see the same themes repeat.

No matter the site or the sector, people come back to one thing: they want a contractor who makes their job easier.

This blog looks at what clients say they value most when working with Force, backed by their own words.

Straightforward communication

Clients value a team they can talk to, and that comes through strongly in their feedback. They want clear updates, honest conversations, and problems dealt with early rather than hidden away. It’s why comments like “great partnership working” from Mercury and “we look forward to working with you on future projects” from Landmark Power Holdings stand out.

Good communication builds trust and keeps jobs moving, reducing the chance of small issues turning into bigger ones. It’s one of the main reasons clients say working with Force feels easy.

Work delivered to a high standard

Quality is a theme that appears across all the testimonials. Clients notice when work is completed properly and consistently, no matter the project. Equans Nuclear highlight how we “consistently delivered high-quality results,” while Mercury mention that “the work was completed to the highest standards.”

This level of delivery comes from turning up ready, following the plan, and handing over a job that clients can rely on. It’s a simple approach, but one that sets the tone for every project we take on.

Safety you can count on

Safety isn’t something we talk about for effect, it’s part of how we work every day, and clients see it. They point out the record of completing work “without accident or incident,” noted by Morrisons Utility Connections, along with praise for an “exceptional safety record” from Mercury and a commitment to “maintaining an excellent safety culture,” highlighted by GTSD. On high-risk sites, safety gives clients confidence, protects timelines, and keeps everyone focused on getting the job done without disruption.

Projects kept on track

Clients want delivery they can depend on, and they make that clear in their comments. GTSD note that work is completed “on time and within budget,” while Mercury describe our “diligence” in meeting expectations. When a project runs smoothly, it removes stress from the client’s side, keeps their teams on plan, and protects budgets and timelines. It’s one of the most practical benefits clients feel when working with us.

A team that works with you, not just for you

Teamwork is another theme that comes through strongly. Clients want contractors who support them, fit into their way of working, and help reduce pressure rather than add to it. Equans Nuclear talk about the “care and commitment” shown throughout their project, and Mercury again point to “great partnership working.” This kind of feedback only comes when the team on site is easy to work with, blends in well, and takes ownership of their part in the wider project.

Why this matters

Strong delivery is more than completing tasks on a programme. It shapes the experience the client has from the moment the work begins to the moment the site is handed over. When communication is clear, safety is consistent, standards stay high, and the team works in step with the client, the whole project feels smoother. It reduces stress, builds trust, and gives everyone confidence that the job is in good hands. That is what clients value when they choose Force, and it is what we aim to bring to every site we step onto.

For Force, they’re the perfect chance to show how we deliver on high-security projects with precision, trust, and experience.

Over the last few weeks, our team has been out on the road, meeting face-to-face with clients, contractors, and suppliers. Both shows gave us the chance to highlight our capabilities across high-security fencing systems, hostile vehicle mitigation, and integrated perimeter solutions — demonstrating exactly how Force delivers where it matters most.

We spoke with people from across the security and infrastructure sectors who were keen to learn more about our recent projects and the standards we bring to every site. It was clear that quality, reliability, and delivery remain top priorities — and that’s where Force continues to stand out.

Force is proud to have supported the construction of the UK’s largest battery storage facility, a project recently connected to the National Grid and set to play a key role in the country’s transition to clean energy.

As part of the delivery team, our works included:

Installation of approx. 130 reinforced concrete foundations for bolt-down palisade fencing

Supply and fit of around 350m of palisade fencing with HILTI resin and anchors

Installation of pedestrian access gates and a 5m double-leaf gate

Grout checks on all posts to ensure precision and safety

The project wasn’t without challenges. Design changes, overlapping contractor works, and even the discovery of an unexploded bomb demanded flexibility and coordination. Our team adapted quickly, maintaining progress despite restricted access and ongoing electrical and piling works.

This milestone project shows how Force continues to deliver specialist civils and fencing solutions on some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile sites.

About the facility

This facility has the capacity to store enough energy to power up to 680,000 homes, helping balance supply and demand across the grid. More than just an engineering achievement, it’s a step toward powering a more sustainable future for both the region and the country.

Force Contracting is proud to have sponsored the kit for the Horsham Wildcats Rugby Club and supported their recent tour to Cardiff, an inspiring weekend of sport, team-building, and unforgettable experiences.

The tour kicked off on Friday 11th April, with the Wildcats setting off from Horsham bright and early at 7:30am. Their first stop was a full stadium tour of the iconic Swansea.com Stadium, home of the Ospreys, followed by a special Q&A session and meet & greet with the Ospreys players — a unique chance for the boys to engage with professional athletes and soak up top-tier rugby inspiration.

After an exciting start, the team enjoyed an evening meal and entertainment, setting the tone for a weekend of camaraderie and fun.

On Saturday 12th April, the Wildcats headed to the Ospreys’ training grounds for a private coaching session led by the Ospreys’ own coaches — an unforgettable opportunity to develop their skills and passion for the game. Later that day, the boys returned to the stadium to meet players and the team mascot in the fan zone before taking on an unforgettable role as the Guard of Honour at the European Cup Quarter Final between the Ospreys and Lyon — a televised highlight that gave the team a moment in the spotlight.

The weekend concluded on Sunday 13th April with a match against a strong local side. Despite a challenging game, the Horsham Wildcats demonstrated bravery, strength, and determination throughout, earning respect both on and off the pitch. The tour wrapped up with a shared team lunch, speeches, and awards — and of course, many stories and memories to take home.

Force Contracting is proud to support young athletes and grassroots sport, and we’re thrilled to have played a small part in what was clearly a powerful and memorable experience for all involved.

“It’s about more than just rugby — it’s about building confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories.” said Brett Perrodow from Force Contracting.
